New Research About Kids & Church

During a recent keynote address at the D6 Conference, Larry Fowler, director of global networking for Awana and KidzMatter, challenged church leaders to stop asking, “How many were there?” and start asking, “How often do they come?”
According to new research, 80% of children today attend church 50% of the time or less. How can we disciple kids when they are not there? We can’t! Especially when, according to Fowler, “the average church child will spend as much time in media consumption in two days, as he or she will get in church in an entire year.”
