2022 State Competition / V3 Expo

This year’s Vertical Three Expo (CTS Competition) will be held April 29 and 30 at Welch College in Gallatin, Tennessee. Directions

4/23/22 UPDATE
“The Tennessee Christian Education Board is excited to hold the state CTS Competition at Welch College on April 29 and 30. Our original plan was to return to a completely normal schedule, requiring all competitors to be in attendance whether or not they had competition. However, we have heard from numerous families who do not have competition, requesting that we reconsider passing all non-competing entries directly to the National without requiring them to be in attendance.
In light of the unusual circumstances of the past two years, rising travel costs, and exorbitant fuel prices, we have decided to make attendance optional for entries that do not have competition. This is a one-year policy change that may not apply going forward. Hopefully, your students can have opportunities to demonstrate and perform in children’s church and maybe before an adult class or the whole congregation to help them prepare for the national competition. Preparation breeds confidence and confidence helps underscore excellence.
Thank you for allowing them to prepare and compete.”

Bible Competition will be held Friday night April 29 starting at 6:00 pm CST.

Music and Arts Competition will be held Saturday, April 30 starting at 9:00 am CST.

The TNCE Board expects all districts to hold their competition for any competitors that have direct competition. However, if districts have competitors that do not have direct competition at the district level (remember that for Bible memorization two competitors from each grade category may advance to the state), they may send them along directly to the state competition.

All registration forms must be sent in by April 1 (send c/o Calisse Caudill at 3915 Franklin Pk. Nashville, TN 37204).

Despite the challenges of the past two years, we encourage your church to take part in this valuable resource for training your young people for ministry in and outside the church. This is a great way for families to gather around the word of God together and strengthen their faith as a family in spite of the disruptions in our society.

This year Jeff Nichols will also have be providing two sessions on Saturday morning for information about working with Child Evangelism Fellowship in your community. Please consider taking time to take advantage of this opportunity to hear from one of our fellow Free Will Baptists about the opportunities our churches have to reach lost children with the gospel.

For further information or questions, please contact board chairman Phillip Morgan at pmorgan@welch.edu.
